I can’t say enough good things about Prius and Tesla Service Center. My 2016 Prius suddenly threw a “Hybrid System Malfunction” error. After doing some research, I was pretty sure that the issue was caused by some moisture build-up from a recent AC cleaning I did myself, so I called them late in the day and they were amazing enough to squeeze me in for a complimentary diagnostic scan. When I got there I tried to explain the issue, what I’ve tried to do to remedy it, and the car’s current symptoms (Dr. Prius shows nominal blade voltages, and the car’s completely drivable but the error message prevents me from using some creature comforts like Cruise Control) Their scan initially showed some fault codes with the airbag ECU, which was likely linked to the temporary moisture shorting a communication line. I asked if they’d be willing to clear the codes and rescan, since the car had been dry for a month. They were happy to do so, and just as we hoped, the codes disappeared and did not come back. My car is back to normal! Other shops in the area were going to charge me a lot of money for a scan that I’d have to wait a week, this place could have easily done the same or suggested expensive repairs, but instead, they were honest, cooperative, and helped me resolve the issue for free. This is the kind of integrity and expertise that is so hard to find. If you have a Prius or hybrid and want a trustworthy mechanic, this is the place to go. Definitely 5 stars, will be coming back here for any future Prius issues.
